One pipe radiator steam conversion.

I may have jumped too early. I bought a beautiful cast iron radiator only to realize that it is a one pipe rad. I found a valve to convert to water, but I've read that only if the rad has push nipples across the top that this valve will work. This rad does not. It is only held together at the bottom. The fins are free standing, or nothing that hold them together. Looking forward to any help.

Don't waste your time and effort, there is no way to get the air out of each section individually.

Does anyone know where I may look / purchase an older ornate radiator ?   I don't mind to drive a couple hundred miles from Louisville,KY to purchase.   Thanks.

There is a small company up here in Maine that specializes in them, I'm sure they could ship, ACME Radiator in Hope, Maine.  They pressure test, sand blast and paint and can add or take out sections if needed, not cheap but good people to work with and they do a nice job!
