SETTING TEMP ON A C.B.
« on: November 04, 2010, 11:00:11 AM »

I read the manual last night to set my boiler down to 165 / 175. It came from the factory @ 175 / 185. Has anyone done this or could give me a pointer. The manual says how to set the Hi side but doesn't tell how to set the low side. Thank you for any pointers.

On my CB 4030 the low side is automatically set 11 degrees below the high setting. When my high temp was set at 185 the draft door opened at  174  Hope I helped you out.

Thanks for the info, I have a 4030 central boiler also . Heating 1250 sq.ft. with side arm heat to my water heater. I guess I have never turned the gas off to my water heater to know if I would run out of hot water. This is my first winter with it . I live in mi. I hope the unit is big enough. The dealer asured me it was. Last night it got down to 29. I put 4 peices  of oak in it when I left for work this morning it still had 3 peices in it @ 7:00 a.m. approx. 10 hr.
