Freshening up the place in the woods for the season
« on: February 24, 2016, 04:51:22 PM »

Taking advantage of the warm spell to lighten up the living room of the cabin.  New paint, and out goes 55 year old carpet, and new laminated flooring.

The cold front will delay things a bit, but by early Spring it should be great.

I didnt do the stonework. My grandfather built it. It is in the middile of a hardwood tree farm. My brother and I are third generation tree farmers. We use it for recreation and a get away.

This is the view today from the window. Brother and his girlfriend are there finishing the painting. Flooring next.

I spent the weekend in the wood at my home, cutting and splitting next winter's firewood.
