My first year in the wood buning and fairly new to the forum I have really enjoyed the topics and have learned a lot of great info.
There seems to be alot of discussion about moisture levels,I know seasoned wood from green but thought it would be interesting to actually test the moisture content.Do  the cheapo digital indicators hold up and are they accurate?Any suggestions on brand?

Welcome to the site dolphin.  I saw a thread a while back about the moisture readers.  I believe a lot of people have good luck with them.  Some said the ones from harbor freight worked fine but some said they didn't.  I've found a few on amazon before and some of those had good reviews.  You should be able

Welcome this is my second year, last year I got a meter I used it a few times, but never used it this or or really that much last year, I just bought a  tempature gun I think that is a better investment, these thinks burn anything once ya get a good coal bed going. Last spring I cut and slit all the pine I am burning now.
