Bye Bye Propane man!!!!!
« on: March 27, 2013, 07:47:05 PM »

Well through a relative that works for heatmor I got a tremendous deal on a 200 CSS?  Its a factory refurbished unit that has a warranty.  How much can I expect to spend on all the incidentals?  Pex, HX, fittings and the like?  I'm looking at putting it 40-50 feet from the house.

Just depends on how much your wanting to spend and getting a parts package that will work for you, parts have to match the job at hand and pumps, line size, hx's all need to be sized accordingly.

so as i'm researching water to air heat exchangers, i'm finding a noticible difference in pricing.  Does price equal quality in the heat exchanger world?  or are they all pretty much the same thing?

Different grades of copper, different techniques of how the tubes are connected, quality does vary yes.  I have sold the same ones for a long time and never had a failure, often times people will ask what brand it is?  It doesn't have a brand as its not a product that's marketed towards the public.  My whole approach to them was I like how it's made and I've never had a problem, so ill keep on using them.  For example my 19x20's are $231 w/free shipping, likely not the cheapest out there but I like them

I totally agree with Scott.. cheaper isnt always better..  I bought some out of Wisconson.. they were priced pretty comparable to Scott's price.  But I had to pay shipping.. So I would say Scott's got a good deal on them.. Whatever you do dont buy cheap chinese ones.  your going to have a hell of a mess if they start leaking.. get good quality copper.. cheper today may cost twice as much down the road...  good luck with your purchase..

my opinion is go with 1" on inlet and outlet..  keep the flow up...
