I have an older wood doctor which was made by polar supposedly (they look the same). It has done a good job except the shaker arm broke last winter and I am not sure how to go about fixing it yet, will have all summer to figure it out. They burn good and are made well. I would by another one without a second thought. I am sure there a better ones out there but no complaints on this one.

You may not like my response, Polar is manufactured by Silver winds metals, the same people that made Wood Doctor, they made a very good unit that is not the issue. I have a problem with pressurized boilers being installed outside as there is no way to dump the heat in a power outage and I don't trust pressure relief valves, 1 gallon of water will make 800 gallons of steam!!!
