Have 10 year old WoodDoctor 8000...repairs completed; so lets not go there!  Want to shut it down for vacation this winter and cannot get much input on putting antifreeze in water jacket (150 gal) or not.  Want to shut off pump if antifreeze is added.  Open system.  Noburst NOT recommended by manufacturer unless it is flushed out again prior to firing up unit later.  that is a $1500 flush!  Any suggestions?

Set it up as I do on all my installs, put a snifter valve in the wood boiler loop with a ball valve on either side of the snifter valve, this will allow you to drain the boiler and then one side at a time blow the water back to the boiler and drained, you may want to add a few gallons of anti freeze after this step as you won't get all the water out of the lines but you will get enough to be below frost level
