Greenwood Aspen 175
« on: December 02, 2013, 02:41:31 PM »

I have been using a Greenwood Aspen 175 for a few years now. This fall it finally decided to die on me. Just before the blower gave out, I conducted research on the 175 and found that it has a few week points. The main week point is the original blower, but this can be easily repaired by buying the blower rotation kit, which angle the blower, so the creosote has a harder time getting on the blades and burning the motor up. I received many manuals from Pro-Fab, the company that bought Greenwood, some years ago. If anyone else has had problems with their Aspen 175 and has found solutions let me know. I am going to try and achieve the great efficiency I once had when it was new.
