E1400 air cylonoide hose
« on: February 04, 2014, 07:24:08 PM »

Lately it seems like it is taking longer for my temp to recover so it has me cleaning and tinkering,  hopefully someone with a e1400 can confirm which of the 2 little hoses on the top air valve go where? Or does it matter? One of the clear hoses is longer then the other, i am just wondering if I crossed them at some point. Thx

Johnybcold - Can post a pic of the hoses you mention?  I do not have them on my e1400 so I'm curious what they are and what they do.  Does your manual mention anything about them?  Roger

I cannot find info on them any where but starting yesterday the water temp will not go over 174 the chamber is at 410 and the water temp is going down everything in the hose is off, everything is clean the only thing I did not do is clean the little slots in the back of the firebox I am going to turn if off now try and empty it and confirm all the slots are clean.

I do not mean to insult your intelligence, that's not my intention but have you emptied the reaction chamber of ash?  Perhaps you bumped the thermocouple probe in the upper right hand corner.  Have you cleaned the primary air elbow?  Because its' acting like it's starving for air.  Have you put the solenoids through the testing mode?  This is designed to cycle them just to be sure they are working properly.  I believe your manual has the details of how to do this.  Just some ideas.  Roger

No worries there is no insulting my intelligence :P,

emptied the reaction chamber of ash-
thermocouple probe- always careful of the probe seems fine
primary air elbow- i keep both of them clean part of my Sunday i paid over 10k for this setup and take care of it like a toy
testing mode- option 7 yes i though it was starving for air but now i think the heat is just not transferring as good as it could, the chamber temp is hot 4-500 degrees,
I had drill last weekend so i did not have time to really scrape the side chamber and lower chamber that leads to the smoke stack maybe junk is insulating the heat. So tomorrow i will give it a good scraping, hopefully that is it,
