As you get older, aren't you supposed to get wiser?  My stepson came home from college and you can tell. Two showers per day, dishwasher runs daily, two loads of laundry, and the bathroom window open all night.

here I thought getting older meant the hair on your head  falls down ...coming out both your nose and ears......  lol ...   but as far as the stepson goes> the stuff he's  doing must be "free" in his school, time to "really learn" something... charge him.....  showers at the "mat" in town are 5$ for 15 mins , 1 load of wash 6$ ----I've been married to my dishwasher for 31 years.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Take him out to cut some wood for a couple of days. Show him where all that free heat is coming from. He might have a different attitude.

That don't work either! They either expect more for what little help they gave you or they remind ou of all that hard work every time your ask something else of them.

I don't bother asking for anything from them, it's not worth it, they might do some to help out after half day of arguing and then do just the opposite of what you asked.
