Sorry but i'm new at this. The thermastate is located next the aquastat. I think the aquastat is set at like 195 if that is what i think it is and the thermastat is set at 180.  Please describe to me what the aquastat is. I believe I have been calling it the thermastat.

There shouldn't be a thermostat on it, just an aquatstat.  I'm not real sure what your talking about hmmm

Pretty much if you set your stove at 180 on the stat when it shuts off your temp gauge reads 170? Its probably the flow of the water making your aquastat probe not as accurate as your front temp gauge. Mine is 5 deg off when pump is on medium and 10 degrees off when the pump is on high. Once again the is comparing the stat setting temp with the front gauge temp. They only match when the pump is on low.
