Here is where we went wrong in this country in my opinion, long winded and I'm sorry for it but it starts with a bit of history. My mother in law is now 86 years old, she is 100% German, born in Wiesbaden and until she met my father in law and moved here as a young woman, she and her family were registered Nazi's that wholeheartedly supported Hitler, her explanation for this is that the man took a 3'rd world country and turned it into a world power in a few short years, all of a sudden they had food, money and a much more desirable life, they at that point trusted their leaders, when she finally found out the real costs associated with Hitlers success she cried and could not believe what her country and it's leaders had done. My father in law( God Rest his soul) I sure do miss him, He was an old time Democrat and we used to have brutal arguments about politics at the kitchen table, pounding our fists on the table and the whole deal, this would upset the whole household but we respected one another's opinions enough that when we were done we could stand up and give each other a hug. My father in law met my mother in law because he was there fighting against the Hitler cronies and thank God he helped create my wonderful wife, he deserved his opinion and he would stand for it until the day he passed on, We loved to argue Politics and if he saw this country today I believe he would make his opinions known to all. the whole point of all this rambling is to say that if you bury your heads in the sand and don't talk to one another, nothing will ever get solved, talk to your neighbors, friends and family about the direction the country is heading, you will gain lots of respect for one another and possibly solve some problems yourself, That is a libertarian way of doing things and it works, If we had not had those brutal discussions then neither of us would have gained that mutual respect that we have to this day.
