I'm back in business!

Man, this forum is something else! At 7 this morning I posted, just for venting purposes, that I was down a pump till Tuesday. By 4 I'm hooked up with a donated pump till my new one comes in! Special thanks to Mr. jnicol6600 for the offer and Mr. mtoll for the bell & gosset that will get me to Tuesday! You guys rock!

I took my old one apart but I can't figure out how to get the shaft out. The drive turns. But I can't get it apart any further. Ant thoughts?

No problem. You are more than generous with information and offers to help.  Looks like that pump is just stuck together by the gasket but my experience is limited to taco pumps.  I got some coal today. I think i'll save it for high heat loads. that stuff really stinks when idling alot.

Always good to know there's people on here that are always willing to help each other out!  Glad to hear you're back up and running! My Menards store has a boiler section and they sell Taco and Grundfos pumps maybe even a few more brands.   I'm using a grundfos 15-58 on my garage I think I paid under $80 for it.   Once I swap my 3/4 pex on my house with 1" I'll be able to use that same pump on both of my loops.   I'm going to buy a extra just in case.   Pretty cheap  insurance.

My wife's family may know them. I married into the family and the County. But they are mostly from the north Knox area.

Man this sucks! I had a pump fail on Friday. It's covered on warranty. My dealer already had then registered so after a 5 minute phone call it is on it's way. In the mean time, my downstairs level is back on electric! Back to 65 and freezing! Back to keeping shower lengths down.  Wifey is not doing well!

It's a nice, well maybe not nice, but maybe just a good reminder of how awesome wood heat is. It makes us all appreciate what our stove does for this family. Not having to wear long sleeves, socks, house slippers, and blankets all the time. This stove is a huge blessing to my family and these few days are reminding us of that again! It's also a reminder to get a backup pump!  :bash:

If a 15-58 3 speed grundfos will work this company has a good price with free shipping....http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRUNDFOS-UPS15-58FC-115V-BRUTE-3-SPEED-PUMP-59896341-/380720686530?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58a4b8a5c2   to buy for a spare as back up.....I always have one just in case.....my father enlaw my 2 neighbors both run 15-58 and we all have spares just incase.... that way we can get one from each other if we don't have a spare.....(forgot to buy one or something)
