No problems yet and I'm starting my 4th season with mine.  How old is your 1400?  Are the flat plates lifting easy without restriction?  Which solenoid is the culprit?  You may want to consider calling your CB dealer for guidance.  Roger

Check the voltage at the solenoid that keeps burning out. Should be about 120V when that solenoid is powered up and 0V when firestar is not calling for that solenoid to be open. If I remember right, if the firestar is bad, it will  send low voltage to solenoid and burn it out causing fuse to blow. That would require a new firestar replacement.

Thanks for the response on my problem . the Boiler is 3 years old and it is the secondary burn solenoid I unplugged it last night and it ran all night. I will have to get a electrician to look at it .

Well the solenoid trouble that i had was a bad firestar controller . if you shut the controller off and put a voltage meter on the solenoid and you are getting any volts you have a bad controller . I installed a new firestar controller and it is working great.  hope this helps anyone that has had the same trouble i had.  :bash:

To test I have 1450 the selinoids should read 15-30 ohms after unplugging the wires to it,but if voltage is there when off that's where I'm at with bad controller call CB and your dealer they may go beyond the 2 yr warrantee
