I think I'm good for the year.  Twenty five cord in the front yard, five on pallets ready to be forked over, five by the burner and fifteen in the back.

More than ready, new G400 shows up in the morning at 8am.

I feel like a little kid the night before christmas.

Checked the forklift, half tank of gas.

Unfortunately picking corn so may have to wait till I can get a chance to remove ole smoky.

mlappin, I'm curious to know how you like that new G400.  I've been thinking about getting another unit (I plan to keep the BL2840 for the barn) for my house.  Looking at the G200 and the P&M 250 gassers.

I’m very pleased with my G400 so far, had some cold temps Monday, woke up to -3F with a -25F windchill. Refilled it after getting back from physical therapy and turned the shop back up to 65 and it kept up just fine with the snow melt running as well.

I wrote a review in the Heatmaster forum if your interested.

Cando,
How far is your barn to the house?

If not too far, maybe just get a bigger stove and heat both with the same fire?

I wouldn't get another gasser. I've had a couple and now have the old style. Wouldn't go back to a gasser unless it was only option to burn wood.

Keep in mind as you ask for feedback that most people will say that what they are running is awesome.  When you spend that much money on something, it has to be great.

But you haven’t had a G Series gasser  ;)

The MF E series are very efficient but still burn more than a gasser, I was mainly looking at wood consumption. I already tried to burn only dry wood anyway’s as it drastically cut down on condensation and creosote on my old homebuilt natural draft.

Agreed mlappin,  I haven't had a G series.  That probably would have been next stove had I stayed in town.

As a tree service guy, I don't really think about quantity as much as I would if I had to go get it all on my own time.  Right now I actually wish I was burning more wood because I have so much lying around and its probably gonna rot before I get to it.  Next year should have a shop built so that will eat some wood.
