I have a Hardy and I have added a lot to mine. It does not appear to leak but it does need water added weekly.

WoodyWoodchucker-

Thats great news! (Owning a 5036 myself). I have only had mine since April and have not added anything. How about the water treatment? have you had to make any changes? After the required 3 month checks I'm happy to report Nitrate and PH are good on ours.

I have an Aqua-Therm 275 and haven't added water in 5 years using it. (With the exception of the first year when I was figuring out the thermostats - I blew out the lot in an overheat and had to replace most of it!).

I have a confession to make. I added water to mine this week. Not because it was low, but my son got different info on his than I had on mine.

The WATER LEVEL mark is intended for normal operation, where it's been since day one. My son was told to "top it" in the summer. This will keep the air out and prevent rusting. So I topped it off until it came out the vent. He said we'll have a little boli over when we first start them, but that was expected.

Made sense to me.
