Speaking of auto dampers.....
« on: November 23, 2011, 01:38:22 PM »

This is a pic of my setup.  It is a Bellimo controllor I bought from Grainger with the flap and hinge whipped up from some aluminum.  The controllor is pricey but should last a lifetime.  It is spring loaded return so if the power goes out the damper automatically shuts.  Works flawlessly!

This is a full pic of the back of it.  I have alot of wire running to different things (blower speed, light and switch for back there when it is dark, Ranco controller, etc).

How much is the Bellimo controller? You did a nice looking job on your hinge and flapper.

LOL!!!!  Beeman, thanks I got a good laugh out your comment...I do the exact same thing with one of the freebie led flash lites from Harbor Freight.  I'm not concerned about a light in the rear of the furnace, although that is a really great idea...I'm still trying to get everything under control with the Shaver 250.

Looking real good powerstroke!  I wish the "correct blower w/auto damper would have been on the furnace when it was delivered.  I'm thinking now I may have some interference going on with one of the pex lines in regards to the auto damper.  we'll see what happens.  I'm going to print off copies of your photos here as well as some others I saw earlier in the week.
