Was hoping some of the guys with gassers would chime in here.
OK, I'll bite.
I just hit the 3 full cord mark about a week or two ago. Also,I did burn some bolt, nut, nail and chain infested wood by brother in law dropped off from one of his throw bale wagons that still had evidence of red paint on it. It wasn't stacked, but there was probably about 1/3 cord there. So it's going to be roughly 3 1/2 cords so far. House is 1800 sq. ft. or thereabouts plus DHW. It's insulated nearly as well as a corncrib. Planned to use 5-6 cord. Probably end up going through 4 1/2.

Anyone have any idea when winter will hit us? I want to give the 250 a workout but ma nature ain't cooperating  >:(

OK now I am jealous. I don't now how our heat loads compare exactly but I do know we live in the same climate and you are going to end up using half the wood I am. BTW I had -1 here this morning and the wind never let up all day. Doesn't sound like it is going to last long though I saw 40 on the 8 day.

I have used about 4 1/2 cords since the middle of september. Weather has been warmer than normal. I live in nw pa. Heating roughly 2400 sq ft home and 1500 sq ft basement. Lots of windows as well. I have a cb 4030 and installed the t restrictor and did notice about a 2 or 3 hour longer burn time.

Northern Wisconsin. I think this is the warmest winter n record, although I did have -22 and -24 two mornings in a row. CB 5036 installed 6/11 and fired for the first time 10/5/11. have burned 90% pine because of an addition we put on and had to cut down the trees. Approx. 6 cords, but like I said it's mostly pine. I have been burning some green hardwood lately because pine is gone, prolly 1 1/2 cords. house is 2200 sq ft 69*, garage 24x30 60*.
