Title kind of says it all, I can fit a 20x20 air to water if it sits right on top of the furnace.

It will be less than 2" from the furnace exchanger...

Mine is about 6 to 8 inches away and I don't think it would be a problem if it was much closer.

I sometimes set the A coil on top of the coil we install for the boiler, so your fine  :thumbup:

setting the a coil on top wouldnt cause any problems in the summer with the ac? on a downdraft.. does it get could enough to freeze? thanks

If the A coil got cold enough to freeze the heat exchanger it would ice up and not let any air through.

When they get low on freon they can but when working properly can't. If you are worried about it, you could put in a temperature cut out switch and put in series with the Y thermostat wire.

It is possible if something in the ac broke and allowed it to freeze, mine freezes up once per season but it never affected my coil
