Got it installed on Thursday and fired it up that evening.   Love not hearing the water heater kick on.

Thanks. Unfortunately I have alot of ash and elm trees in my woods that has already died or on its way that's the main reason I purchased it.

i built mine monty and it is not a gasser but i don't feel guilty about the extra wood usage, i too have mostly elm and ash and i don't think i have cut a live tree in at least 8 years, between the two types of trees and the odd hickory or swamp oak, they die fster than i can cut them. I find that the white elm will de-bark and mostly dry standing but the red elm stay wet untill cut and stacked. and the elm here seem to only grow to about 10 or 12 inches at teh trunk..no splitting required.
