The latest Heat Master design has the damper inline after the fan so you can not get smoke and creosote back to the fan during shutdown.

Thanks guys for all of the input.  First off I must say I am very impressed with this site since im new.  No other forums I have joined have been this helpful with as many replies I have had with as little of time I posted on here.  Usually other forums do not want to comment on newbies posts so I just want to say thank you.  Right now I am more leaning towards the heatmaster but in the back of my mind is the P&M. lol.  Originally I was dead set on the P&M but then I talked to a friend of mine who had the heatmaster and loved it.  But yet again I only have so much to spend so the heatmaster is looking better and better.  If I go with the heatmaster I cant decide to go with the 5000e or 10000e.  I want the 10000 just in case I build a pole barn someday or move to a place with a pole barn that the stove wouldn't be undersized.  I know for the square footage im going to be heating right now the 10000 would be overkill and have heard that a idiling stove shortens its lifespan.  Does the bricks in the P&M BL series make that big of difference?

Have you ever seen or been around a Russian fireplace, when was the last time we ever heard of a creosote fire in one.

It is an extremely clean hot fire that uses the firebrick to store the energy and heat the home over a long period, massive amount of brick that burns the smoke in it's passes.

I can't sell them here in the northeast, if you can have them in your area you should call Brian and he can give you a quote.

Treeman, have you gotten prices on each model yet?  That may finalize your decision!
