Wiring issue.

I fired up the Eclassic 2400 yesterday and installed my second thermostat in the house right by existing one. Problem I'm having is the ac condenser now kicks on with fan. I hooked it up by the book. I have a two zone system with zone valve controller in basement.  I shut off ac breaker so it wouldn't turn on. Fan starts and stops fine but condenser runs also. Any ideas?

Your OWB thermostat kicks on the AC?  Does it also control the valve properly?

Does the other thermostat create the same symptoms?

No my second thermostat installed next to my original thermostat and jumped kicks on condenser. I'm thinking a wire hooked in wrong slot of t stat.

FHA system with a coil installed in plenum. Yes upstairs kicks on condenser to.

 So you ran the w on the new stat to the g on the original stat and your condensor runs. Sometimes you can pull the g out of its spot in the original stat and connect the w from the new stat to just the g wire with a wire nut and it will stop the feedback. Summer comes just take them apart and put the g back in it spot.

Start by trying this. Most thermostats backfeed and turn on the compressor if you leave the wires on the G terminal of the original thermostat.
