« on: November 08, 2013, 07:40:58 AM »

on a natural gas forced air furnace what would be the normal temp of the air coming out of the duct work? does a OWB deliver a hotter temp?   ??? just wondering.

I get around 150-155 out of my vents closest to my HX with my outdoor boiler. The further away vents see temps in the 130s. My vents get about 115 -120 with my oil FHA.

Most high efficient furnaces will discharge 130 to 140the at the furnace. If you run your boiler at 180 to 190. You should be higher than that i would expect 150 or so

Many variables in what you get out the vents

Mine are 120-125, but it feels like 200 compared to my heat pump.  ;D

I have checked all my vents and they run 125 to 140. That is with the stove temp at 170. Will be hotter when we eventually go to 180. But I am like everybody else feels like 200 compared to the money draining heat pump.

Oh come on, I thought that heat pumps were very big and everybody loved them down south, how much does it cost to heat your home for a winter with that coal fired electric heat pump?

My floor register puts out air around 120, except when the cat lies on it, then it drops to nothing.

I had a high of 155 but more typical is 115 to 130 in the other vents running at 180.  DHW is at about 131 through my side arm.  I am measuring with an infrared gun from you know where - can't think of the name right now.

I'm getting 130-135 out the vents and 140 on the DHW at the faucets. My aquastat is set at 170. I am pleased.
