So does anyone have a really good picture of the spaghetti works that is there mechanical room? 
 Its always nice to see how other people have plumbed and piped there boilers, heat exchangers and whatnot.

My building is framed, and more tubing on second floor but not hooked up yet.  The large pipe in between the floor manifolds is Thermopex from the OWB slab.  Would be interested in any photos of those who go from OWB to FPHE then to at least two zones (one for low temp slab.)

This is my masterpeice, before insulating; have 1-1/4" Thermal Twin by Uponor from boiler to house, thru thermostatic by-pass and into 2 heat exchangers.  One HX for house side (water fill) second for 50/50 Glycol-fill for garage and possible snowmelt

House side HX, feeds in-slab and staple up (thus need for 2 mixing valves; staple up 130F, in-slab about 100); glycol side HX feeds garage and future snowmelt (currently runnign about 110F) will adjust when snowmelt is added

LJ, are the orange boxes near your pumps part of electronic mixing valves?

The orange boxes are the power heads for the electronic 3-way mixing valve

All pipes on secondary side of heat exchangers is 1"

I know my installation is insane; but that is the only way I could of had radiant on the second floor - the thermostatic by-pass (HUGE black fitting) is less than 2 feet from the high water mark on the OWB.

I'm still a long way off of completing my (under a stairway) mechanical room and will have lots of questions at that point. For now here is my 007 stainless at the back of my Heatmor.

Nice job and hydraulic separator there Idaho. A 007 ,,,,what are your supply and return temps at both the heat or and inside at the HE? Is the HM close to the house?

Sprinter, OWB is about 40' from building, pipe comes up 20' inside. Inside water to air heat exchanger has small fan behind it and delta t is 6 degrees.  Approximately 65' of  1" Thermopex.  At about 5 gpm I'm taking between 14 and 15,000 btu/hr. This coincides with the boiler cycling about once an hour raising 85 gallons 20 degrees.  (160 on-180 off according to gage at top of boiler)  Heat load on the building is 28,000 btu/hr (using 70 degrees) so the building is staying nice.  I've got a piece of filter foam on the intake of the blower that can be removed  and I get about another 5,000 btu/hr. So far at temps down around 0 deg. it has been doing fine.  In another month or so I should be working on the in floor heat if I have any money left.

You mentioned a hydraulic separator but the only thing showing in the pic of the back of my boiler is the 007 and a "Y" separator.

I was referring to the separator inside. A 007 is a small pump, it doesn't take much head to kill the flow on a 007. And if its going into a Flat plate HE?? That why I was wondering about supply and return temps.

Sprinter, sorry if I wasn't clear.  At present only thing on the loop is a 19 x 20 water to air furnace plenum heat exchanger so the 007 is doing just fine.  Once I hook up my infloor heat, the 007 will be on one of the zones.

I know how you feel, it took several weeks to troubleshoot to get everything working right; as stated in a different thread I had an issue with main level inslab.  After a lot of head scratching I found the problem - incorrectly installed check valve (stupid thing fell out of pump flip 180 and went into pipe) kinda hard to move water when pumping AGAINST a check valve.  Got it all working know, and man does this system (4000sf detached garage/work space & 3500sf house) burn thru the JUNK wood
