A disturbing E-Mail from BTEC/ Biomass thermal energy council
« on: January 06, 2014, 06:53:51 AM »

Am I the only person who gets aggravated by govt subsidies like the ones that BTEC gets and they use to create rules that help the pellet industry and hurt the cordwood boiler industry, 2 years ago we took our wood chip boiler to the BTEC seminar in Saratoga Springs, NY, it was a great hit to some of the folks there but some others, namely guys from the pellet manufacturing industry did not appear to like the idea of burning un processed, green wood chips, BTEC is in Portland Maine this year, they will not allow us to attend, WHY NOT? Do you think it would be wise to hook up to my show trailer and park in front of the seminar building ( Chip boiler running ) for all to see until they get thier govt. thugs to come and arrest me. When the rules about OWB's were drafted here in Maine I personnally never missed a legislative hearing or workshop with the DEP, I never heard any input from the oil / propane industry but a guy by the name of Les Otten ( he ran for Governor and lost last term to Paul Lepage ) anyway Les had his cronies there and had the attention of the legislature and DEP. Did I mention he owns the largest pellet retail facility in Maine (MeEnergy, Bethel Me.) I am so tired of powerful people putting the squash on great products by learning how to steal our taxpayer dollars to promote thier agenda, Do I go and cause a stink or simply drop it?

It is nasty the way lobbyist control the govt. special interest, liberals. Pass laws as long as they don't effect them.

Slim, have you checked out or know of  ( eh-hoe-na) Owner also co founder of Btak.  I just read an article that lead to a site, and several more. Wow it had nothing to do with this thread until I figured out they are all linked and it ended up there ^.
So I was surprised that all those other things lead to one small group of actual buddies. The co founder part of it popped out.

The little guy can't compete in a country with 2 left coasts....
