Repairing leak in Mahoning 300 water reservoir
« on: January 18, 2014, 10:03:23 AM »

We have a Mahoning 300 as our only heat source.  The weather is not conducive to shutting it down for a couple of weeks.  A leak in the water reservoir has started (absolutely no idea how it happened or why)  The furnace has only been installed since 2008.  Any suggestions how we can repair this without totally shutting down?
Suggestions...solutions would be absolutely appreciated.

Where is the leak, inside firebox, your in trouble outside on water jacket, try some furnace cement, I know of people who have gotten through the heating season using fiberglass and resin, do not use fiberglass if it is wet on application or fire hazard!
