draft size
« on: January 26, 2014, 08:25:42 AM »

I am working on build, and am at the point of installing the forced air draft pipe under the grate . My question is, what size pipe should I use 3" or 4". What cfm blower- and does it have to be multi speed? Get this done and I will be back to pick your brain some more. Thanks for all the help everyone has given so far. ^-^

Mine is  3x3 square. I don't really thing that it matters much though. You are just providing a path for the blower to move the air through. I would say don't go smaller than the output area of the fan or you will be restricting the cfm rating of the fan.
