Honestly guys and gals, I have the greatest job a man can have. If you ever watched his shows you know what I mean, he traveled to some strange places and met some very strange and interesting people. I have thought for a long time how much I would enjoy allowing others to know what I have done in the past and what I am doing now, I would like to hear your stories as well. What do you think?

 Although I am not aware of Charles Kuralt, I think what you are proposing sounds interesting. I'm sure there would be many interesting stories from many members.

Sounds neat. I've done limited traveling in the states myself. Have drove from Northern Indiana to Florida, been to Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Michigan and thats about it in the states.

When I do major traveling it's usually to the UK to visit the wife's family. Did Scotland and France last time, that was pretty interesting. Been to London a few times, Cambridge and it's colleges, Kings Cathedral, etc.

One of these years I want to go back to Kings Cathedral and actually hear the 400 year old organ in person. They put on a fabulous christmas program I guess.

Most definitely, would watch his show with my parents or grandma and grandpa if I stayed there over night.

I can't remember the name of the book now, but I think it was called Blue Highways, a neighbor who is gone now gave it to me. A guy drove around the perimeter (more or less) of the United States on nothing but back roads. Back roads were always blue in the old atlas's. Lots of interesting stories about places the average person would never find, much like Kuralts show.

Well, Danny and I arrived home safe and sound from our trip to Ohio yesterday, thanks for the hospitality to 3 of our members on here, Thanks Bob, Larry and Gary. The first Photo is of one of the lookouts on the old 17 southern tier expressway in NY ( nice Ride ) and the second is of our load and the old Ford, gotta love that old truck, if anybody has some good bumper stickers I would like to do some more decorating on it this year, it makes for great conversations as well as lots of thumbs up while on the highway

  Off to Ct again today to do a reinstall of a defunct boiler (not a P And M), Gary is using Logstor this time! I'll get some pics when we start.
