Well, finally had time to thoroughly clean her out yesterday.  I'm glad I did it yesterday, the weather was great for it.  It was in the upper 60's to perhaps low 70's and a very nice northern breeze.  I was concerned it would take a lot longer than past years due to waiting a bit over 3 weeks before getting to it, but she cleaned up rather easily.  The primary air holes cleaned much easier than expected.  The creosote buildup chipped out really nice; probably the best I've been able to clean them.  One of the best surprises was that it wasn't as hot inside the firebox due to the water jacket being cold. So, she's got a bucket on top of the stack, all of the weld joints were scraped of creosote buildup and oil applied to the bare metal.  After I closed the fire door for the final time, I went inside and took a shower.  My Lord, I didn't realize a person could have so much dirt build up where I didn't think possible.  How some of it got where it did is a mystery to me.    So, now I can't wait for colder weather...NOT!  I'm enjoying the warmer temps and my motorcycle too much to be looking forward to cold weather.  Roger

Slimjim, I got a family reunion coming up in a week from today in Rochester, NH.  My younger bro and I will be riding our bikes if the weather isn't bad.  It's about a 2 hour ride non-stop from where I live to my cousin's home so it'll be an easy ride.  At the end of the month we're riding them to Colebrook, NH for the Blessing of the Motorcycles.  At the conclusion of the festivities we'll ride to the Canadian border, just say we've done it once.  Have a great weekend, Slimjim.  Roger
