I need help from those of you who have bought our products in order to justify what I do on here

I bought P+M because I saw it running at a show, (which show and when)
I bought P+M because of it's reputation (where)
I bought P+M because I like my dealer and location (dealer name and location)
I bought P+M because the sales office does a good job in Canada
I bought P+M because SlimJim has a presence here and is helpful with answers
I didn't buy P+M but would have if I knew about them when I bought

I bought a BL 34/44 this past summer.

P+M head office served as my dealer. Always friendly and very helpful.

My final decision however was confirmed after the discussions I had with Richard.

I had followed the forum closely and had observed how he willingly offered his experience, both technical and practical to help everyone with their problems regardless of what boiler they had.

I was a newbie as far as hydronic heating was concerned but he patiently walked me through it step by step.

An absolutely invaluable asset in my opinion.

Slim, is there a number back in Saskatchewan that we can call and demonstrate some personal advocacy on your behalf?  With the help and wealth of information you assist members on this forum with, that's the least we can do.  I would love an opportunity to give you a little something back.

Thank You cando, it is appreciated, not sure you will get through easily but the office number should do it if you would like to voice your opinion, they are very busy up there guys so Please don't keep them on the line for long because that means somebody else is waiting on hold, our new office with lots of lines should be on line soon. Thanks again for your support

I found this site after I had problems with my ML-30. I originally saw the stove at a show in Escanaba Michigan. I had a very bad experience with that dealer and he is no longer a dealer.  I have worked with the Canada office on replacing to the BL2840. Reading about the BL series on here is what made me want to upgrade to the BL. I had mixed feelings on the ML, but so far love the BL. I wish my father-in-law could upgrade to a BL.

He isn't having any issues. There hasn't been a reason to. Too bad that the BL isn't EPA certified.

I bought my BL 2840 back in the spring.  This will be my first winter heating with it and so far it has exceeded my expectations.

I had been looking at changing out our antique indoor wood furnace for about a year and had pretty well settled on a Hawken until I looked at the P&M.  I never saw one fire when I bought it.  I went solely off of what I saw on the P&M website and what people were saying on here.

I can’t say I bought it because of slimjim, but he sure helped influence my decision before and after.

Slim, you sir have been a valuable resource.  Cheers.

Hello all,
As of now I have not purchased in owb. I have an old indoor hot air wood furnace that is very tender. I was originally thinking about a Tarm gasifier. Then I went to Sandwich fair and spoke with Slim's wife who introduce me to P &  M and this forum. Now I plan to purchase an Optimizer 250 from Slim this coming spring.
Thank you all for your honest posts!

My new BL2840 has been heating the house for a week now. I dealt with Rory at head office and picked up the stove at the Factory in Piney. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Very happy so far.

I'm anew owner of a. Bl 2840 and if it wasn't fir slimjim I would have been having a lot of issues. My dealer couldn't answer or help me with the items slimjim did.

Having slimjim on this site sets PM apart from the other vendors and that is a good thing.

Please keep up the post and helping out.

I spent weeks researching what to buy for a new construction home, since I've never had an outdoor wood boiler.  I got it narrowed down to P&M and Central.  Having slimjim here answering questions that I had (I didn't post many) but mostly all the information I saw that he posted on everyone's questions tilted me to P&M.  I spent over $9,000 on my furnace (BL 3444) and it would have gone to Central if not for slimjim.  The central dealer in Sagola (about an hour from me) Michigan was a heckuva nice guy, very helpful, and I was almost going to buy from him.  I actually decided on P&M before I called to find my "local" P&M dealer was 6 hours west of me in Wisconsin.  I still made the drive to pick up the stove.

So having you here has helped sell at least one furnace slimjim.

I also researched boilers this past year, I made my decision from this site and mainly from slim Jim... I bought a 3444. My dad has a CB 6048 and my granpa has a CB 5036. I'm glad I bought the P&M over the central boilers, for many reasons ( ash removal, blower, bricks, round fire box, heat exchanger, and you can split the boiler for future repairs or replace water jacket). My dad and grandpa also have to go out and throw wood in late at night ( 9pm or 10pm when it get cold) to get them through until morning and there water temps are still down. I dont have to do that with the 3444. My dad said when his boiler is done he will be buying a P&M.

One of the things that I considered really important was that I don't see ANY sparks coming out the stack. My stove is near some large pines and also some out buildings so I thought the P&Ms were a safer bet, I hope the new ones are the same.

I looked and searched for an OWB for a few months before finally making my purchase of a bl 3444 this past summer.  Everytime I found a brand that sounded like they had a good thing going I changed my mind.  Then I found this forum and watched and read posts by many of you for a few weeks.  Until then I had never even heard of P & M, it was down to Central and Heatmaster who were both just under an hour away.  But reading the posts from slim, either on the P&M threads or some of the other companys threads, I realized that for a company to have someone that knowledgable to be basically stationed on forums was exactly how a company can reach out to their customers and potential customers and gain trust.  Well, it didn't take long to make my decision and drive almost 4 hours to put a down payment on my p&m and the rest is history.  This past weekend I was at the PA farm show in Harrisburg, and although there was no P&M dealer there, there were a few others and I'm really glad with the decision i made.  So heres to you slim.
