Polar Wood Furnace
« on: March 04, 2015, 08:09:51 PM »

Can anyone tell me anything about these furnaces.  I am considering purchasing one.  Just wanted folks opinions. I think I can get their "regular" sized one for 4950.00.  What do you think. Thanks for the help.

If you are looking at the non-gasser, its a simple, durable, easy to use stove. Identical to the now defunct Wood Doctors that were built by Silverwinds. I checked them out and was thinking about buying but the dealer did not seem too motivated.

Silverwinds either went out of biz or changed their name after Wood Doctor.
Polar allegedly "acquired" Silverwinds and now build their own stoves. Polar is said to be ran by two guys. One in Canada and one here in the US. Never heard of the guy in Canada but the guy in the US has been mentioned in the WD thread many times. Check out the WD thread....
