Used to be a federal law that any manufacturer who sells X amount of units has to supply replacement parts for a certain number of years.

I got a 1974 Norton I bought new when I was  19 years old.
Japs put the whole British M/C industry in the toilet in 1975/77
OUTTA BUSSINESS
Parts coming out my ears ...vintage copy's,,, jap copies,, race parts ,,and on and on ....
Nothing I can't get!!!!!!!

What I'm saying, is,  if there is a need,, there will be parts..
And like Martin says they are obligated to come up with spares, for a certain amount of years.
If it's popular,,, it will be fabricated by someone.

Lotsa stuff can be made, if your handy.
Some of us gotta rely on the dealer,, and plumb shops.

You got the right idea ...........I should of paid attention in shop class :bash: :bash:

Still not necessary to hoard parts though :post:

Conventional boilers are pretty basic and use parts you can get from the HVAC industry.  Blowers, solenoids, aquastats, etc. will never be scarce.
