Exactly four degrees tonight, Tuesday calling for 65.. making it hard to get a good feel on wood load when temperatures are jumping all around.

Was 64 here Sunday, all the snow went buh bye. Then we had another winter storm come thru, rain, freezing rain, sleet then snow. Is 24 now, with an expected high of 60 by middle of next week. Is playing hell on the livestock, sent the wife to TSC to stock up on long lasting single dose antibiotics, gonna have at least a few cases of pneumonia at this rate.

Yesterday there was 14 inches of new snow and minus 20 C.  This a.m. it was -28.  The dog didn't enjoy his morning walk which is weird given that he grew up as a puppy living wild and free is Moosonee.  (actually Attawapiskat but I have a hard time pronouncing 5 syllable words).
Next week the weather turns mild and might be able to tap some maple trees.

Winter Weather Advisory here currently with temps in the 20° range but by the end of the coming week forecast highs are 70°!
Talk about Mood Swings  ;D    Maybe it will dry up some so I can replenish my wood supply!

Was very difficult to schedule a wood delivery with this mess.  The delivery happened at 5 am when it was cold enough to back into the yard and not sink in.  I should have enough wood depending on temps to april

We're pulling anhydrous, doing some dozer work and the baby calves have never had it so easy. This has never happened this early in the year. Me and a grandson took a couple of disks to a few farms yesterday and worked down some cow paths in the cornstalks. Makes me wonder how many feet of snow we will get in April!!!

This is the first time I can ever remember cutting my log pile in February and not have to wear a coat, a flannel shirt was enough.  I'm not complainin' though.  Roger

It will really Pi$$ me off if I have to mow my yard in March but, the way it's going, I might have to.
