Brother bought a cabin with a wood boiler NEWBIE ALERT
« on: November 10, 2016, 06:43:43 PM »

Its a Free Heat Machine 75. No manuals or install information. I think we have it working but the fire will die out without the door being partially open. I could not find anything on this 75 Model anywhere. Install date was 10 years ago. Also it all on one loop "No Zones" though the home. any information on the operator manual would be great!

Thanks Wade

Have you tried doing a google search for a manual?

I’ve heard of em, but have never seen one in person.

Kinda generic info here, but either the controller is bad or not getting juice, if thats fine then since it says forced draft the fan isn’t starting or a flapper isn’t opening.

I did find a little blurb about FHM on Natures Comforts site: http://www.naturescomfortllc.org/free-heat-machine-fhm-outdoor-wood-furnaces/

It looks like it has the blower on the door. If you have the door open with the blower running, can you feel it blowing air?
Do you hear the solenoid thump sound when the blower is turned on and off?
If not, remove the cover on the outside of the door and check if it is working.

Same as Global Hydronic, PW, Hawken and others that were built at Global Hydronic. Later units were built elsewhere but on the same pattern, so any of those manuals would apply. The front door and the control door have the Global look, and ten years ago is about when Free Heat left Global.

O.K. Got the blower working loose wire! I did look for the manual but none are close to what I'm dealing with. Thanks for your Help.

So the blower needs to run all the time when burning? Sorry Newbie here.

Great information. I'll check out these Mfr for more details of operation.
