Would like to know if i have to put a thermostatic mixing valve on the cold water side so i am not running 180 deg water in to the heat pump or can i just run it straight in and put my mixing valve on the hot water side was worried with all the electronics on this thing it might go crazy when it start getting that hot of water in to the heat pump coil

I have no idea what you have, but when running a 20 plate hooked to a hot water tank I don't install a mixing valve, water can only get to like 130 unless you would let it slowly leak through the plate, unlike a side arm that can match boiler temps
