OK, I'm going to try and explain to both of you how to purge the air out of the system. first shut off supply and return for all zones in the house, kill all power to the system by pulling the firematic plug that should be directly above the burner itself. once you have done this grab a garden hose and attatch it to a return on the manifold, find the corrisponding supply off the boiler and open that valve, find the auto water feeder that supplies make up water to the oil boiler and the pressure/ temp guage, open the valve up by pulling the handle straight out, you should hear water feeding into the boiler, bring the pressure up to 25 pounds and then open up the drain that is attatched to the garden hose, you should hear the water going through the piping and it will carry the air with it right out the garden hose, keep more than 20 pounds of pressure on the boiler during this process by crimping off the hose as the pressure drops, you will hear and feel the air come through the garden hose, when you have gotten rid of the air in that loop close it off and do the same to all the rest of the zones ONE AT A TIME, when you have purged them all bring the pressure back down to 12-14 pounds and refire the boiler, open all zone/loop valves and you are done.
