Where do you guys get brushes for an optimizer 250. The brushes from the factory are too small for the tubes. What size brushes
do you use ?

I bought some from Mcmaster Carr. The 2" works great. The 1 1/2 is a little small but cleans them out fine. I should've bought the next size bigger just to try it, but did not. With burning good dry wood this year there is only very fine ash in the tubes. If you have anything other than fine ash, my guess is your wood is to wet!

Torringtonbrushes.com

The 2" will definitely work for the vertical tubes but the 1.5" is slightly too small for the horizontal tubes. Go with 1 5/8" -they'll work much better. The brushes go for about $7-8 each. I usually get 2-3 at a time to make the $9.99 shipping cost worth it. They also have 3', 4', & 6' fiberglass rods that mate up with the brushes.
